Paris? Me? Yeah, right!

I’ve always believed that if you wanted something and was willing to work for it, it was yours. No if’s, and’s or but’s about it! I learned this at a young age and really put it to work while attending college. It was years ago, but the principle is the exact same today.

So, you love fashion and would just die if you could somehow live, study and work in Paris, France, not to mention SHOP, know it IS possible! You don’t have to come from a rich, reality show family or be the kid of a celebrity, you can make it on your own with very little backing. Live, Work, Study! Most important and best of all, you’ll have the inner confidence and ethics of a true, for lack of better word, self-made success. Something you can pass on to your own children someday. Self-respect and the true respect of others, not envy. Peace of mind.

I had college friends who had the grades and work ethic to successfully, through education, gain study abroad opportunities. One even won the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship!  Luck or who you come from? No, hard work and good grades. If you’re like me and don’t have the grades (not because of the lack of trying) don’t fret, some of us are not “book smart” and actually struggle to make good grades. I found that CREATIVITY is the key to many a success, along with other important traits and talents that will get you to places like Paris: Persistence and the belief that YOU can do anything regardless of the obstacles. It won’t be easy, but hang in there. Soon you’ll be in front of the L’arc de Triomphe looking down the Champs Elysees!

L'Arc du Triumph and Champs Elysees....
This pic brings back awesome memories, but I’m happy now mountain biking in places like the Black Hills of South Dakota!! It was a different time in my life….now, I’m still on the road but within my own borders.
Next post: How to get to Paris. There are other avenues!!
